Privacy Policy

01. How This Site Is Supported (The “No‑BS” Version)
I am not a big media company. I don’t have a lab, a research department, or a hidden VC agenda. I am a builder.
Our philosophy:
I only recommend tools I actually use to run my own operations. If it’s in my stack, it’s because I trust it enough to ship with it. That’s my version of “skin in the game.”
How we’re funded:
Some links on this site are affiliate or referral links (for example, to tools like Wise or Mercury). If you click a link and sign up or make a purchase, I may earn a commission.
- It never increases your price.
- It helps keep this site free and open.
- It lets me avoid running spammy banner ads or selling your data.
If a tool stops working for me, or I stop trusting it, I remove it from my stack. No exceptions.
02. Data I Collect (and What I Don’t)
I intentionally keep things lean.
I do not have:
- user registration
- comment sections
- direct payments on this site
That means I do not ask you for or store:
- credit card numbers
- home addresses
- government IDs (like Social Security numbers)
However, to make the site work, I (or my third-party tools) may process:
- IP Addresses (which may indicate your general location)
- Technical Log Data (browser type, device type, referring site)
If you just browse the site, I'm not trying to figure out who you are personally. I use this data in aggregate to spot trends (e.g., "50% of visitors use mobile").
03. Cookies, Referrals, and Third‑Party Partners
When I use referral or affiliate programs (through partners like CJ, Impact, or a vendor’s own system), they may set third‑party cookies in your browser to:
- know that you came from my site
- credit my account if you sign up or purchase
Key points:
- These cookies are managed by the third party, not by me.
- They typically expire within a set window (often around 30 days).
- They are designed to track referrals, not to personally identify you as an individual.
You can control or block cookies entirely in your browser settings. Doing that may stop referral tracking from working, but the content on soloprenerd will still be accessible.
04. Analytics
I use privacy‑focused analytics tools to understand general usage patterns, such as:
- which pages get the most traffic
- which content people actually read
- what sources send visitors to me
I care about aggregate behavior, not individual identities.
I do not use analytics to:
- build personal marketing profiles
- follow you around the internet
- combine analytics data with sensitive personal information
What I see is things like “X people visited this page this week,” not “Alice did Y at 3:27 pm.”
05. Security
I use reasonable technical and organizational measures to keep any information I handle as secure as I practically can. That includes:
- using reputable infrastructure providers
- limiting access to administrative systems
- keeping software reasonably up‑to‑date
But:
- No system connected to the internet is 100% secure.
- I cannot guarantee absolute security of any information transmitted to or through the site.
By using this site, you accept that:
- there is always some level of risk in transmitting data online
- you use the site and share information at your own risk
06. International Data Transfers
My infrastructure and many of the tools I use are based in the United States or may route traffic through the U.S. or other countries.
If you access this site from outside the United States, that means:
- your information may be processed on servers located in the U.S. or other jurisdictions
- data protection laws in those places may differ from the laws where you live
By using the site, you consent to the transfer, processing, and storage of your information in the United States and elsewhere, as needed to operate the site and its supporting tools.
07. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
My Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided me with Personal Data, please contact me. If I become aware that I have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, I take steps to remove that information.
08. Your Data Protection Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on where you live (like the EEA or California), you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, such as the right to access, correct, or delete the data I hold about you.
Since I do not collect names or emails and minimize data collection to technical logs, I typically cannot identify you specifically to fulfill such requests. However, if you have questions about your rights, you can contact me.
California "Do Not Track" Notice:
I do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals, as there is no consistent industry standard for how to do so.
09. Changes to This Privacy Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as my stack, tools, or legal requirements change.
When we do:
- I’ll update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page
- I may adjust or expand sections to reflect new tools or practices
Changes take effect when they’re posted on this page.
If you keep using the site after the policy changes, that counts as accepting the updated version.
If you’re not comfortable with the updated terms, your option is to stop using the site.
